Flexlume Sign Co. Utica Club Early Beer Neon Late 1920’s NY Brewery Bar Advert
I believe this is one of the very best beer neons in the United states and it certainly deserves the recognition. Flexlume signs from Buffalo New York made some of the most beautiful signs from the turn of the century all the way past WWII when they needed to close, sell, and restructure after the steel freeze. This sign was discovered in the Flexlume building and no one really knows why it was there, but likely was sent in for repairs and was either updated or never picked up before Sale or beginning of war. Sign is from late 20’s or early 30’s which is also an odd finding due to obvious time frame of prohibition. Anyone that is a serious UC collector knows of their vast efforts to stay in business with many other non alcoholic offerings during those times. This is the only one that was ever made in this fashion for UC. The sign had one sided entirely restored and one side original. Amazing sign, and will instantly create the very best Utica Club collection where ever it lands. Electric and Neon is restored to the highest standards. Magnetic type transformer, all new wiring, and correct clear red and M. Blue Clear Neon tubing. Sign measures 5′ by 32 and is easy to hang with the nice housing and hanger mounts as shown. The restored side is in a life long collection and this unrestored single side is the very last one. MCA assembles some of the best Beer Neons in the entire Nation. The item “Flexlume Sign Co.
