This came from my dad’s estate – he was a longtime collector of old beer items. My limited online research dates it to 1929. Item is in excellent working condition. Metal housing with ROG reverse painted glass. Measures approximately 12.5″ wide x 5.5″ tall x 3.5 deep. This is a super beer sign – one of the best in his collection – you won’t be disappointed. VINTAGE 1940s BERGHOFF BEER FORT WAYNE INDIANA BACK BAR NEON MOTION SPINNER SIGN
This 1940s sign is internally lit with neon and features a rotating wheel with the slogans for Berghoff Beer Tried Berghoff Lately? – A Real Honest Brew Since 1887 that is run by a clock motor. The sign has had the wood base repainted black and the outside metal ring has been repainted with black wrinkle finish paint. Reverse glass face on the outside had new black paint applied exactly like the original. The sign has an outer glass with a plastic advertisement sandwiched between it and another piece of glass. The plastic ad has a lighter colored line that goes from top to bottom between the Fs of the word Berghoff as seen in the picture. This is not a big deal but I want to point it out as it can be seen when it is not plugged in and lit up. Sign lights and runs very smoothly. This is an extremely rare sign that never comes up for sale so dont miss your chance. MEASUREMENTS (APPROXIMATELY): 10 Inches Wide x 10 7/8 Inches Tall x 3 1/2 Inches Deep.
